Dragonfly
Commonly known as Dragonfly and it is a strong flier compared to damselfly and preys on hoppers and moths
Carabid
Common name is Ground beetle and the local name is coco cola beetle having long neck and the adult search the rice canopy fo prey ,mainly feeds on rice leaf folder and can consume 3-5 larvae per day
Spiders - Farmers' friends
Commnly known as wolf spider and preys on rice stem borer and leaf folder moths,leaf plant hoppers and mainly present at the base of the rice plant and attack the prey directly and can consume 5-10 prey per day.

The plot is situated on the road side near Vasadi village ,Gantyada (M) and it is 20 km from Vizianagaram.The source of irrigation is from Tatipudi reservoir and the rice variety cultivated here (TOF plot 2.0 ha) is Samba Mashuri(BPT5204).

Entry Point Activity
This exercise is known as "Entry Point Activity"taken up in Vasadi village of Gantyada mandal,Vizianagaram Dist,A.P.,India in which the farmers were explained about the signs and symptoms of pesticide poisoning. One farmer was asked to lie down on a chart on the ground another was asked to draw the outline of the lied down farmer(as seen in the picture) and on the body map the farmers were asked to write down the signs and symptoms of pesticide poisoning which they have experienced or known.
Base Line Survey
Mandal Agricultural Officers collecting the Base Line Data of TOF farmers in Vasadi village of Vizianagaram District,A.P.,India,from this data we can draw field problems(like indescriminate use of pesticides and fertilisers,weed problem,water management problem etc.) which helps in planning(conducting) apropriate experiments to be taken up in the TOF plot.

ABOUT S.L.T.P
SLTP means Season Long Training Programme.SLTP is being conducted to the Mandal Agricultural Officers(MAO's) in Vizianagaram District who will act as Facilitators of POLAMBADI programmes in their respective mandals.
Polambadi means Farmers Field School with Integrated Crop Management concept(I C M)
which is one of the top priority programmes implemented by the Department of Agriculture in the State of Andhra Pradesh under the able guidance of our beloved Commissioner and Director of Agriculture ,A.P. Smt Poonam Malakondaiah I.A.S
SLTP provides excellent oppurtunity to develop practical and participatory learning experience.It also provides an oppurtunity to understand all stages of the crop,develops appropriate approach, practice new skills and upgrade the knowledge of facilitators .
