Harvested paddy will be kept in heeps like this in the fields for few months(2-3 months) and it will be threshed sold in the market

 

 

Mirid bug adults are in green and black colour and can become abundant in bph infested fields and hopper eggs are sucked dry.It can consume 10-15 eggs or 2-5 hoppers per day

 


 


 


Plant damage is caused by the transformation of tillers into tubular galls which do not bear panicles.Early infestationof Gall Midge also causes excessive tillering but these new tillers often become infested and few bear panicles.
